Young lady, in this house we obey the laws of thermodynamics! - Homer J Simpson
I did my undergraduate and graduate studies in physics at the Université Libre de Bruxelles. My Ph.D. thesis was accomplished under the supervision of Prof. Pierre Gaspard in the field of nonequilibrium statistical thermodynamics. Therein I explored the dissipation and transport properties of nanoscopic systems. Since October 2008 I have been a postdoc in the laboratory of Prof. Xiao-Jing Wang at Yale University where I investigate neural computation and memory in cortical circuits (see Research section).
