My name is Emiliano Imeroni. I was born to Andrea and Annamaria on April 21st, 1977 in Torino, Italy. I am married to Ilaria.
Presently I am a post-doctoral researcher in theoretical high-energy physics at the Université Libre de Bruxelles and International Solvay Institutes, Brussels, Belgium.
My research field is string theory, in particular the gauge/string correspondence, as you can see in the Physics page.

I lived in Torino, Italy, up to age 24. All of my education, leading to a Ph.D. degree in theoretical physics, took place there. Since then, I have been hopping around Europe, as the map on the left shows. Where will I go next?
I received my "Laurea" degree at the University of Torino in October 2000, under the supervision of Marialuisa Frau and Stefano Sciuto, with a dissertation titled "D-brane interactions in string theory".
My graduate studies also took place in Torino, where I received my Ph.D. degree in October 2003, with a dissertation titled "Studies of the gauge/string theory correspondence", under the supervision of Alberto Lerda. My second year of Ph.D. was however spent at NORDITA in Copenhagen, Denmark, thanks to a Marie Curie fellowship of the European Union. My supervisor in Copenhagen was Paolo Di Vecchia.
From November 2003 to October 2005 I was a post-doctoral researcher (onderzoeker) at the Institute for Theoretical Physics of Utrecht University, The Netherlands.
From November 2005 to October 2007 I was a post-doctoral researcher at Swansea University, United Kingdom.
I have started my current post-doctoral position at the Université Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium, in October 2007.
While in Torino, Copenhagen and Utrecht I was also member of the Marie Curie Research Training Network "Constituents, Fundamental Forces and Symmetries of the Universe" (continuation of another Network for which I was contact person of the post-docs).
You can download my curriculum vitae, or take a look at my research on my Physics page.
