• Isotope geochemistry: Measurement of isotopic compositions of various elements in dissolved and solid phases in the marine and terrestrial environment.

• Iron chemistry in polar regions: Distribution and behaviour of Fe in snow, sea ice and seawater. Mass fractionation of Fe stable isotopes.

• Marine biogeochemistry of trace metals: Distribution and behaviour of trace metals in the marine environment.

• Development analytical methods: GF-AAS, FIA, Q-ICP-MS, MC-ICP-MS
