Venue

All talks and coffee breaks take place at the Royal Flemish Academy of Belgium for Science and the Arts in Brussels, Belgium. Lectures take place in the Rubens room, there will be two small blackboards and a beamer available. Here is a leaflet (provided by the Academy) with some historical background.

The complete address of the Academy:

Paleis der Academiën / Palais des Académies
Hertogsstraat 1 rue Ducale
1000 Brussel / Bruxelles

The “satellite” option of Google maps has a very high resolution over Brussels, so you can easily identify the Academy in this picture: it is the rectangular building slightly on the north-east of the label.

There are many hotels in Brussels, in many price classes. In any case, it's probably best to book a hotel in the city centre: you'd be only a short walk away from the Academy, and in case it rains you could take a metro or a bus.

Welcome reception and conference dinner

On Tuesday evening there is a welcome reception offered to the registered participants. The conference dinner will take place on Thursday evening, more details will be given later.

Proceedings

A conference proceedings will be published as a thematic issue of the Bulletin of the Belgian Mathematical Society - Simon Stevin in 2016.
The journal was created in 1994, as the successor of the "Bulletin de la Société Mathématique de Belgique/ Tijdschrift van het Belgisch Wiskundig Genootschap" and "Simon Stevin". It is covered by the Science Citation Index. For more detail, see http://bms.ulb.ac.be/cgi/bull_general.php.
We invite participants of the conference to contribute a paper. The BBMS publishes research articles and expository papers. Expository papers should be sufficiently broad; it is not sufficient to make your last three papers into one expository paper by deleting the proofs.
Please send your contribution to bull.bms@vub.ac.be . One of the four guest editors will act as handling editor for your paper, and will organize the refereeing process. The four guest editors are Stefaan Caenepeel, Marino Gran, Joost Vercruysse and Yinhuo Zhang.
May we draw your attention to the following policy of the journal. The BBMS is a research journal devoted to all areas of modern Mathematics. We require that the introduction is written in such a way that it is accessible to an audience that is broader than just the research community of the author, and we recommend that an effort is made to make the arguments in the paper transparent and self-contained.
The (flexible) deadline for submission is December 31, 2015.
