Estimate of stoutness (BMI) by the measurement of morphometric variables on hands XR of male adults

The LABO contains a sample of almost one hundred male adult hands X-Rays, each one accompanied by identification sheets with general anthropometric measurements (stature, weight...) and specific ones (hand, trunk, members...).

The goal of this study is to examine the possibility of defining the typology of one individual while referring to a whole set of measurements carried out on X-Ray and on the soft tissue outline appearing on these X-Rays. The simple routine radiography of an hand, dismembered during a disaster could, consequently, approach the statural typology of an individual and contribute to their identification.
