Planning your trip

Brussels Airport is located at
approximately 10km from the conference venue. It has a regular train connection
with both the city center and the conference venue.
Check the
online schedule by filling in station "Brussels Airport".
Trains with destinations Dinant and Charleroi call at
Brussels-Luxembourg station, which is next to the workshop.
(One train every 30 minutes)
Trains with destinations
Mons/Bergen, Tournai/Doornik, Bruges/Brugge, Ostend, De Panne
call at Brussels North, Central and South (=Midi) stations.
Trains with destinations
Mechelen, Antwerp, Roosendaal, Amsterdam; Leuven, Hasselt, Landen do not enter
the Brussels Region.
Ticket fares for a one way from/to the airport to anywhere in the
Brussels Region are 8.70 euro. A ticket from anywhere into the Brussels Region
allows you unlimited free rides within the Brussels Region for the rest of the
day (on the trains only; not valid on buses, trams, metro).

Brussels South Airport
is located at approximately 70km from the conference venue. Buses bring you to
the closest railway station (Charleroi), from where you have one direct
(but slow) train an hour (and several connections including a change).

By train: Brussels-Luxembourg station (Bruxelles-Luxembourg/Brussel-Luxemburg)
is located within 5 minutes walk from the museum. This station has four direct
trains each hour from/to Brussels Midi and Central Stations
(travel time 19' and 15') and two direct
trains each hour to the airport (travel time 19').
High Speed Trains from Amsterdam, Paris and London (TGV, Thalys, Eurostar)
arrive at Brussels South (Midi), where you can change.
ICE Trains from Frankfurt and Cologne, as well as intercity trains from
Amsterdam first call at Brussels North, which is closer to
Brussels-Luxembourg station.

Single tickets between any two stops in the Brussels Region are 2.10 euro.
(Note that the airport is NOT in the Brussels Region).
