Yuli V. Nazarov: Electron counting statistics

We review full counting statistics of electron transfers in the context of quantum transport and quantum circuit theory. This context is very interesting describing real nanostructures under strongly non-equlilibrium conditions. From point of view of general physics, it provides a set of non-trivial but simple models that exemplify large deviations from average values of observables. Full counting statistics turns out to be an integral part of most complete theoretical description of quantum transport.
