Since April 2012, I am a researcher at the Université Libre de Bruxelles, affiliated with the Group for research on Ethnic Relations, Migration and Equality (GERME, Institute of Sociology), and the Machine Learning Group (MLG, Department of Computer Science).

I work with Dirk Jacobs (GERME) and Tom Lenaerts (MLG) on the PRFB project "Network dynamics of social capital", funded by Innoviris.

• Will attend the Lipari School on Computational Complex Systems on Dynamic Networks and Social Behavior (July 2013, Lipari, Italy, July 2013.
• Joined the PC of COVEnANT 2013: Collective Behaviors and Networks, a satellite of ECCS 2013.
• Our abstract "A comparative analysis of the dynamics of interlocks among immigrant organizations" will be presented at the XXXIII Sunbelt, Social Networks Conference of the INSNA, Hamburg, May 2013 (pdf), and at the 7th ECPR General Conference, Bordeaux, France, September 2013.
• Attended the IEEE International Conference on Data Mining, ICDM 2012 (MLG was the local organizer).
• Presented our new project at the 2nd Belgian Social Network Research Event (abstract, pdf).
• Took a course on network dynamics at the Essex Summer School on Social Sciences and Data Analysis.
• Attended the Multilevel Social Networks symposium in Manchester, UK.
• Joined the International Network for Social Network Analysis (INSNA).
• Am now a member of the IEEE Adaptive Dynamic Programming and Reinforcement Learning Technical Committee.
• Attended the Time for Causality workshop, Bristol, UK, April 2012.
