The fifth issue of the conference « Utterance Interpretation and Cognitive Models » (UICM 5) will take place in Brussels on 24-25 September 2015 with, as keynote speakers:

UCIM5 is the fifth of bi-annual series of conferences organised in Brussels. The first edition addressed the issue of the semantics / pragmatics interface; the second edition broadened the perspective by inviting the views of scholars from the related subfields of syntax, cognitive linguistics and evolutionary linguistics, while the third gathered researchers mainly interested in the developmental and cognitive determinants of utterance interpretation. The fourth edition, organized last year, was dedicated to utterance interpretation and implicit contents (see below).

For this fifth edition we will concentrate on the influence of bilingualism on utterance interpretation, and on the semantic and pragmatic skills of bilinguals.
